Who Are HEART AND SOUL BLUEGRASS

"Heart And Soul Bluegrass" is a traditional, hard driving bluegrass band, from south central Pennsylvania, consisting of mostly veteran singers and players.

Dave Theurer, lead singer, has been playing and singing since the age of ten (that's quite a while ago), and was a key member of "The Theurer Family" bluegrass gospel band for about twenty-five years. Dave is also an excellent lead guitarist, who even had the honor of performing with the "Father of Bluegrass," Bill Monroe.

Reese Sweigart plays rock solid rhythm guitar, and adds a tenor, or above tenor (sometimes called bluegrass soprano) harmony voice, to Dave's lead, that is hard to match anywhere. Reese has been involved in music since age thirteen, and for about six years, sang and played mandolin in "The Blue Ridge Choraliers" band, which recorded two albums.

Steve Clark plays resonator guitar (dobro) for the band. He has been playing for about twenty-eight years. He has appeared with "The Lykens Valley Bluegrass Boys," "Back Mountain String Band," "Al Shade and The Potter County Boys." He was a guest with "Low Profile" and a member of "The Blue Ridge Choraliers" for four years. Steve plays in the traditional slide styles of Josh Graves and Deacon Brumfield, with a twist of his own. His experience with people and music has greatly added to the progress of the group. Steve is also the band's publicity coordinator.

Tim Zimmerman started playing the five string banjo at the age of thirteen. That was just four short years ago, and already he is fast on his way to being one of the hottest  young, hard driving, banjo players in Bluegrass today. Tim credits his grandfather for helping him get started and encouraging him along the way. With his "Ralph Stanley" style, adding some "twists" of his own, Tim is a great assett to the band.

Jesse Brubacher has played bass for various country and bluegrass bands down through the years, including "Gold Mine Bluegrass," and Shorty Eager's "Eager Beavers." Jesse is known by festival-goers, far and wide, for his love of the music and its fans.

"Heart And Soul Bluegrass" plays music that comes from the heart with a whole lot of soul!

GOD BLESS AMERICA
